William Kennedy Pipers' Festival

13th Nov 2015

On 13th November, the children from P5/6/7 all attended the schools' concert organised as part of the piping festival in Armagh.

The children were treated to four different acts all playing different types of pipes. These included the Lowland Border Pipes from Scotland, the Uileann Pipes from Ireland, the Bagpipes from Scotland and the Gallician Pipes from Spain.

While the Uileann Pipes were being played, a lady treated the children to Sean nós dancing which was the dancing with the hard shoes.

Unfortunately no recording equipment was allowed in the auditorium but we managed to sneak a few pictures beforehand.
