P7 Visit the Palace

10th Nov 2016

Our P7 children were invited to the Palace in Armagh to meet the Lord Mayor, Garath Keating, for a recital of the poems they had written for the Poetry in Motion project. The children have been working with the writer Martelle McPartland and have produced some beautiful poetry based on the theme, 'The Chapel on the Hill'. The Mayor was very impressed with how confidently the children read and also at the standard of their poems. The children were warmly welcomed and received in the Lord Mayor's parlour, which we got to take over for the morning!
