P6 Trip to The Navan Centre

We visited The Navan Centre to take part in poetry workshops to celebrate Poetry Week. We enjoyed listening to and getting ideas from Maura Johnson, a well known poet. The theme for Poetry was Freedom and we began to write poems on this theme. We started our first draft and when we got back to school we continued and then started editing. At the minute, we are word processing our final draft which will then be submitted for the Poetry Competition. Mrs Lennon thinks we are all winners as she was thrilled by them.
