P.1 Made a visit to the Chapel today for “Catholic Schools Week”

We enjoyed a trip to our local chapel Saint Mary’s today. Children enjoyed looking at the statues, the stained glass windows, stations of the cross pictures and the baptismal font. Children talked about their experiences of being in the chapel at weddings, christenings, First Holy Communion and so forth. It was a lovely way to mark Catholic Schools Week.

We also have a little prayer table in our classroom this week.Children can bring in some items from home to display, including rosary beads, prayers, holy water and small statues.
