P. 1 “Tree Trails Adventure at Armagh Palace Stables”
We had an amazing fun day at Armagh Palace Stables, thanks so much to Sylvia for this wonderful learning experience and for making our trip so memorable. Children enjoyed listening to two lovely Teddy Bear Trail stories read by Sylvia before embarking on their own tree trail. We were learning about how trees provide shelter, warmth and food for animals. We got to see a Horse Chestnut tree and we even got to see the little horse shoe on the branches. Sylvia told us that the Holly and Ivy trees are best friends as they grow closely beside each other. We worked in small groups to find animals just like real explorers and recorded our findings. We completed our adventure with a sound game; children drew a picture of what they could hear. This trip provided us with great knowledge and understanding about the Wonderful World Around Us.
