Our Bulbs Won’t Grow!

12th Feb 2020

Rosie wrote a lovely poem about our failed attempt to grow daffodils in the grounds around our school. Last October primary 4 planted daffodil bulbs around the front of the school. Mrs.Kerr had purchased a large bag of daffodil bulbs which were clearly labelled on front. We took lots of photos to record the event and then waited to see the results. On our many walks we have kept our eyes open for the first signs of the green shoots appearing however to our disappointment we couldn’t see any. To add to our disappointment the other daffodils which Mrs.Kerr had planted a few years ago with Primary 5 were now beginning to appear. On closer examination we found signs of growth but they were not daffodils. Looks like perhaps tulips are beginning to appear! Time will tell! In the meantime Rosie composed this poem which I think you will agree sums up the whole story.
