Home Learning

27th Mar 2020

Dear Parents

We have reached the end of our first full week of 'home learning'. I'm sure it has been an adventure of sorts, while throwing up a lot of challenges along the way!

As parents, many of us will have discovered better ways of doing things, routines that work for us and most importantly, ways of juggling everything while endeavouring to keep our sanity intact!

It is really important to remember that the work set by our teachers is to engage our pupils in as much routine and learning as possible. Many of the activities are revision of what has already been taught. So the message is.. if we can encourage a little bit of Numeracy and Literacy everyday with some reading and physical exercise also, we are doing a great job.

It is very trying times for our children also and they need understanding and reassurance constantly. If the school work is causing stress and friction then it is better left until a time when your child is more open to engaging.

With the lovely weather we are blessed with at present, it is great that the children can spend time doing outdoor activities, such as planting, painting, tidying and playing- all important aspects of their development and learning.

I hope you and your families are all well.

Don't hesitate to email should you need anything for your child's learning or need to get in contact with their teacher. We are all available to help in whatever way we can.

Mrs Brenda Casey
