Congratulations to Alice, Charlie and Seamus in P5 who recently achieved fantastic success in the Ulster Farmers’ Union and Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend Initiative competition!

These pupils were challenged to create an interesting and informative poster explaining how NI can promote local produce. 

Charlie and Seamus were awarded Highly Commended in the Key Stage 2 section and received fabulous certificates, while Alice was awarded joint third place and received her very own planting set! 

Thank you to the Lynsay Beattie, BOIOFW School’s Coordinator and William Irvine, President of the Ulster Farmer’s Union, who visited our school to distribute the awards.
