Celebrating Maths Day 16th October 2014

This week was Maths week and to mark the special week in our school calendar we had a number themed non- uniform day and did lots of puzzles and challenges on Thursday 16th October. 

We played number games in classes using the number on our clothes and on raffles tickets and some lucky numbers won a prize! We had a whole school competition to guess the number of cubes in a jar. 

We completed problem solving activities and looked for numbers in our environment.  

The children had great fun. 

Well done to Mrs Casey and all the boys and girls in Primary 6 for their great ideas to help us all recognise and celebrate the importance of numbers and maths in our every day lives.
