Our P5 pupils had their third meet‑up with Ballybay National School. Entitled “Prejudice, Stereotypes and Discrimination,” the children explored what these important terms really mean and how they can affect people in everyday life.
Through guided discussions and activities, pupils learned:
🧠 What prejudice and stereotypes are, and how they can lead to unfair assumptions.
💬 Why it’s important not to judge others without knowing their full story.
🤝 How kindness, empathy and understanding help build stronger, more inclusive communities.
We were so proud of the thoughtful conversations, mature ideas, and mutual respect shown by all pupils from both schools. Sessions like this help our young people grow into open‑minded, compassionate citizens.
