Our Primary 7 pupils have been busy combining history, art, and ICT to produce some fantastic digital work! Using PicCollage, they created powerful Irish Famine newspaper articles and emigration posters, bringing this important period in history to life in a creative and engaging way.
This activity linked brilliantly to the 5 E’s of the ICT Curriculum:
✨ Explore – Pupils researched the Irish Famine and gathered key facts and images.
🎨 Express – They used PicCollage to design eye-catching layouts, combining text and visuals.
🔄 Exchange – Pupils shared ideas, discussed designs, and supported each other’s work.
✅ Evaluate – They reviewed and improved their posters, thinking about clarity and impact.
📢 Exhibit – Finished pieces were shared and celebrated, showcasing their learning and creativity.
