Our P5 class had a fantastic time outdoors this week creating their very own bird nests using natural materials such as twigs, moss, grass, leaves and mud. The teamwork, problem‑solving and creative thinking on display were incredible!
The children carefully designed and built their nests with one big question in mind… How strong are they really?
Soon they’ll be carrying out a fun experiment to test the durability of each nest — checking how well they hold shape, protect “eggs”, and withstand different conditions. Scientific thinking in action!
